As opposed to the Z3 and of the previous one Z4, the Z4 of 2009 is available with an only bodywork instead of the two: coupé and roadster.  But that be thus does not mean that have that to renounce one of the two, all the contrary thing; in the Z4 current, thanks to the folding hard ceiling, is possible to enjoy both in an only car.

The rival most direct of the Z4 they are the Audi TT, the Mercy-Benz SLK and the Porsche Cayman and Boxster.  Of them, the unique one that has a hard ceiling, like the Z4, is the Mercy-Benz.  In the other two one must opt for the bodywork closed (TT coupé, Cayman) or open with a ceiling of material textile (TT roadster, Boxster).
